The right to due process, freedom from unlawful discrimination or retaliation, the right to be treated with fairness and decency, freedom of speech, the right to vote and the right to equality in public places are all examples of civil rights. Depending on the circumstances, these are enforceable rights and privileges and each individual is protected against discrimination with regard to these civil rights under the law.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you may need to take legal action to protect your rights.
